The Carleton Ravens Baseball Club is once again offering a Summer Camp for players between the ages of 7-12, focusing on baseball fundamentals. The camp is run in partnership with the Mississippi Little League, and held at the Carleton Place Arena and adjoining fields July 9-13. The camp offers a kinetic learning approach that captures the latest in baseball training for young players in a fun-filled environment.

The full-day, week-long camp, includes outdoor and indoor skills development and general baseball fun for players at the Rookie, Minor and Major levels (ages 7-12). Depending on enrolments, players will be organized by age and skill set. The camp will focus on baseball fundamentals including fielding, hitting and pitching and will include daily scrimmage games and skills events.

    Here's what you can expect:

    "PLAY" BALL
For all the talk of "competitive" baseball development we never lose track of what's most important - we want our campers to have a good time. After all, it's "play" ball not "work" ball. Your son or daughter will improve at their own pace under the close supervision and guidance of experienced university athletes and coaches with decades of competitive baseball experience. But at the end of the day, our goal is to send our campers home with a smile on their face.

    LIVE HITTING AND PITCHING
Outdoor fun with lots of live hitting and pitching opportunities. It's the best way to hone timing, pitching and swing mechanics. If your son or daughter is moving to live pitching from coach pitch or T-Ball this is the best opportunity to gain the confidence and experience necessary to make the transition. If your player is already pitching and hitting we have expert coaches that can take them to the next level.

    COST EFFECTIVE
Like all of our clinics, we aim to make our Summer camp affordable. Our players and coaches have extensive US and Canadian University baseball credentials but the cost of our program is less expensive than similar camps in Ottawa. We also have adjoining access to two baseball diamonds and a gymnasium.

    PROGRESS REPORT
Our players and coaches are experienced evaluators. We will provide your player with a report card that tracks their progress, makes recommendations for improvement, and suggests drills to positively reinforce their baseball development.
